Practice ladles and one spatula for the blacksmithing competition December 2  at the Holiday Alley in Selkirk. The Hammerdown is created by Cloverdale Forge. We have 1 hr to create a ladle with only a few tools and prescribed raw parts provided by Cloverdale.  4" Copper disc, 2 1/2" x 5/8" rivets, a 6"x3/8" square bar, and a 6" x 1 1/4" x 1/4" bar.  These are the completed practice runs, the really bad ones are not depicted. The two copper bowl ones were created in an hour. The joinery doesn't look good on close inspection.   It's quite the challenge for a new blacksmith like myself.
